What a Reunion Mobile eSIM costs
The cheapest published plan on the Réunion travel eSIM is $4.00 for 1 GB valid 7 days. A 2 GB / 15 day plan is $7.00, and a 3 GB / 30 day plan is $8.10. The unlimited plan for 3 days is $11.50. Use the variation price in the cart, not an older parent price, if the two disagree.
Network
The plan is sold under the operator name Reunion Mobile and the supported country is Réunion. The product page publishes the speed as 4G. It is not a 5G plan. Coastal towns and the interior will not give you the same throughput, and the Fair Usage Policy can cut a heavy user back. Réunion is a French overseas department in the Indian Ocean. A mainland France plan is a different product.
How much data you actually need
A week of maps, chat, and boarding passes fits in 1 GB if the hotel Wi-Fi takes the photos. Add video or a day of navigation away from Wi-Fi and 2 GB is the safer buy. A longer stay is the 3 GB / 30 day plan at $8.10. Hotspot use should be counted twice: once for your phone, once for whoever joins it.
Unlimited data
The published unlimited plan is $11.50 for 3 days. It does not extend the $4.00 plan. Fair Usage Policy still applies, including on hotspot traffic.
Dual SIM
Keep your home SIM for calls and bank texts. Set mobile data to the Reunion Mobile line. iPhone: Settings, Mobile Data. Android: Settings, Network, SIMs. Turn the travel line on after you land, not during the flight.
Arrival and transit
Flights arrive at Roland Garros Airport (RUN), east of Saint-Denis. Install the eSIM on Wi-Fi before you fly. You do not need a shop at the airport to activate this plan.
Install
- Open the QR code from the order email while you still have Wi-Fi.
- Add an eSIM and scan the code. Label the line “Réunion”.
- After landing, set mobile data to that line and leave the home number active for SMS.
Phone compatibility
The phone must be unlocked and eSIM-capable. iPhone XS and later, and recent Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel models, work. A handset locked to a home carrier will not install the profile.
FAQ
Q1: How much is the cheapest Réunion eSIM?
$4.00 for 1 GB, valid 7 days, on the Reunion Mobile plan.
Q2: Which operator is on the plan?
Reunion Mobile. The supported country is Réunion.
Q3: Does a France eSIM cover Réunion?
Not this one. This plan is for Réunion. Check the supported-country line before you buy a mainland plan for the island, or the reverse.
Q4: Is it 5G?
No. The product page lists the speed as 4G, not 5G. The Fair Usage Policy and local coverage still apply.
Q5: How much is unlimited?
$11.50 for 3 days. It is a separate plan.
Q6: Does it include calls and SMS?
No. Data only. Keep the home SIM for calls and one-time passwords.
Q7: Can I install it at the airport?
Only on Wi-Fi. Installing before the flight is the reliable order.
Q8: Can I share it as a hotspot?
Yes. Shared data counts against the same allowance and can trip the Fair Usage Policy.
Q9: What if the QR code fails?
Use the manual activation code in the same email. The phone must be unlocked.
Q10: When were these prices checked?
September 2026, against the published variation prices on travelydata.com. The 1 GB plan is $4.00.
Bottom line
For a week on Réunion, the $4.00 / 1 GB Reunion Mobile plan is the starting point. The 3 day unlimited plan is $11.50 if you would rather not meter it. The published speed is 4G.
