Ouigo España has cancelled all trains between Madrid and Andalusia through 9 November 2026 inclusive, according to a banner on the operator’s website. Separately, Spain’s Transport Ministry lists a full-day SEMAF drivers’ strike at Ouigo on Monday 2 November 2026. If you hold a Madrid–Andalusia Ouigo ticket, or any Ouigo ticket for 2 November, check your booking and the operator’s site before you travel.
Travelling in Spain while Ouigo services are disrupted? Cancellation notices and rebooking links mostly reach you on your phone. With your own mobile data you can check status, rebook and use maps without relying on station Wi-Fi. Follow Ouigo and Transport Ministry instructions first.

Madrid–Andalusia: all Ouigo trains cancelled through 9 November
On 31 October 2026, the Ouigo España homepage carried a banner that begins with a notice about a serious railway accident and then states, in Spanish, that the company is cancelling all trains between Madrid and Andalusia through 9 November inclusive. That corridor covers Ouigo links between Madrid and cities such as Seville, Málaga and other Andalusian stops on the operator’s network.
The banner does not list every station or train number. Treat any Ouigo booking that starts or ends in Andalusia, or that runs between Madrid and Andalusia, as affected until Ouigo says otherwise, and open your booking email or the Ouigo app for the options offered on your ticket.

Separately, a Spanish Ministry of Transport resolution of 27 October 2026 (PDF) sets compulsory minimum services for a drivers’ strike called by SEMAF at Ouigo España. That resolution lists a full-day stoppage on Monday 2 November 2026 from 00:00 to 23:59 for Ouigo driving staff.
Ministry minimum-service rules can change if a court order or a later resolution modifies them. Ouigo’s own service pages and booking emails remain the place to see which of your trains are cancelled, rebooked or still planned to run.
What to do
- Open your Ouigo booking and the Ouigo España website before you leave for the station.
- If your trip is Madrid–Andalusia through 9 November, assume the train is cancelled until Ouigo confirms otherwise, and use the change or refund path in your booking email.
- If you travel on Monday 2 November on any Ouigo route, re-check the day before and again that morning.
- Compare alternatives on Renfe, Avlo, Iryo or coaches if you still need to travel.
- Set up mobile data before you leave so Ouigo updates and rebooking messages reach you on the way. Choose a Spain eSIM plan
